Video Otoscopy

Video otoscopy is performed using an otoendoscope, camera, light source, and monitor to allow us to thoroughly assess and treat chronic ear conditions. With this tool the ear canal and the eardrum are brightly illuminated and magnified, enabling us to clearly visualize these parts of the ear. With a special attachment masses can be removed with the CO2 laser in a patient that is anesthetized. Additionally, foreign objects, debris, and parasites can be removed from the ear using tiny grasping forceps. Certain surgical procedures such as ear biopsies or myringotomies can also be performed with the video otoscope.

After the procedure we can upload a video or photos of the otoscopic exam onto a USB for you to take home.
